Patients & Families
At Madina Medical Complex, Sargodha, we understand that the support of family members, friends, and loved ones plays an important role in a patient’s comfort, emotional well-being, and recovery.
We believe that a balanced approach to family visits, along with adequate rest and uninterrupted medical care, helps create a better healing environment for our patients. Our visitor guidelines are designed to:
- Promote patient- and family-centered care.
- Ensure patients receive adequate rest and uninterrupted medical and nursing care.
- Maintain a safe, peaceful, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Reduce the risk of infection and disease transmission.
- Prevent overcrowding in patient care areas.
- Ensure appropriate and secure access throughout the hospital.
Visitor Policy
To maintain patient comfort, privacy, safety, and effective healthcare delivery, visitors and attendants are requested to follow the hospital’s visitor guidelines.
Private & In-Patient Rooms
- Only one attendant and a limited number of visitors may stay with or visit the patient at a time, subject to hospital guidelines and the patient’s condition.
- Visitors are requested to avoid overcrowding and keep their visits brief where necessary.
Wards
- Only the permitted number of attendants or visitors may remain with a patient at one time, according to hospital policy.
- Visitors and attendants are requested to respect the privacy, comfort, and recovery needs of all patients in the ward.
ICU & CCU
Visiting hours for patients admitted to the ICU and CCU are determined according to the condition of the patient and the requirements of the respective department.
- Visitors must follow the designated visiting times communicated by the hospital staff.
- Only the permitted number of visitors will be allowed to visit at one time.
- Access may be restricted or temporarily suspended when required for patient care, emergency treatment, medical procedures, or infection-control purposes.
We request all visitors to cooperate with our doctors, nurses, and hospital staff to ensure a safe and uninterrupted healing environment.
Infection Prevention & Visitor Health
Hospitalized patients may have reduced immunity and can be more vulnerable to infections. Exposure to additional illnesses may affect their recovery and place them at further health risks.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of an infectious illness, such as fever, cough, flu, vomiting, or other contagious conditions, please avoid visiting the hospital until you are well.
If you are unsure whether it is safe to visit, please consult your healthcare provider or contact the relevant hospital department for guidance.
Visitors may also be required to follow additional infection-control measures, including hand hygiene, wearing protective equipment, or following specific instructions provided by hospital staff.
Mutual Respect
At Madina Medical Complex, Sargodha, all patients, attendants, and visitors are treated with courtesy, dignity, and respect. We expect the same respectful behavior towards our doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, staff members, and other patients.
We understand that illness, emergencies, and hospitalization can be stressful and emotionally challenging. However, maintaining a respectful and cooperative environment is essential for the safety and well-being of everyone within the hospital.
Any form of verbal abuse, physical violence, harassment, threats, or serious violation of hospital rules will not be tolerated. In such circumstances, the hospital reserves the right to take appropriate action in accordance with hospital policies and applicable laws.
Outside Food
To protect patient health, maintain hygiene standards, and support appropriate medical nutrition, outside food may be restricted within the hospital, particularly for admitted patients, depending on their medical condition and dietary requirements.
Patients may be provided meals according to their nutritional needs and the recommendations of their doctor or healthcare team.
Visitors and attendants are requested to follow the hospital’s guidelines regarding food and beverages within patient care areas. Outside food should not be brought into restricted clinical areas where it may compromise hygiene, cleanliness, or infection-control standards.
Flowers
For the safety and comfort of patients, flowers may be restricted in certain patient care areas, particularly where patients have allergies, respiratory conditions, or increased vulnerability to infections.
Visitors are encouraged to consider alternative gifts, such as cards or other appropriate items, while respecting the patient’s medical condition and hospital guidelines.
Smoking Policy
Smoking and the use of tobacco products are STRICTLY PROHIBITED within the premises of Madina Medical Complex, Sargodha, including patient care areas, corridors, waiting areas, and other restricted locations.
Second-hand smoke can be harmful to patients, visitors, and staff, particularly individuals with respiratory, cardiac, or other health conditions.
All patients, attendants, and visitors are requested to comply fully with this policy and help us maintain a clean, safe, and healthy hospital environment.
Children & Hospital Visits
For the safety of children and the protection of patients, visits by young children may be restricted in certain areas of the hospital.
Children may be more vulnerable to hospital-acquired infections, and some clinical areas may not be suitable for them. Parents and guardians are encouraged to ensure appropriate supervision and follow the instructions of hospital staff regarding children’s access to patient care areas.
Exceptions may be considered in special circumstances, subject to the approval of the relevant healthcare professional or hospital administration.
Personal Valuables
Patients and attendants are advised to keep their personal valuables, including cash, jewelry, mobile phones, and other important belongings, under their own care and responsibility.
Madina Medical Complex, Sargodha, shall not be responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought into the hospital premises.
We recommend avoiding bringing unnecessary valuables during your hospital stay.
Identification & Required Documents
Patients and their attendants or next of kin may be required to provide valid identification documents, including an original or copy of their CNIC, when required for admission, registration, billing, treatment, or other hospital procedures.
Please ensure that all required documents and relevant medical records are available when requested by the hospital.
Furniture & Bedding
To maintain cleanliness, safety, infection-control standards, and adequate space for medical care:
- Outside furniture is not permitted in patient rooms or wards.
- Personal bedding or other large items may be restricted according to hospital policy.
- Patients and attendants are requested to use the facilities and arrangements provided by the hospital.
Photography & Video Recording
To protect the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of patients, doctors, staff, and visitors, photography and video recording may not be permitted within hospital premises without prior authorization.
The use of cameras or mobile phones for recording patients, medical procedures, staff members, or restricted clinical areas is strictly prohibited unless specific permission has been granted by the hospital administration.
We request everyone to respect the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals within Madina Medical Complex, Sargodha.
